Have you been looking for a non-surgical approach to healthy weight loss and maintenance?

What is an ideal weight loss goal?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) , it's 1 to 2 pounds per week. That means, on average, that aiming for 4 to 8 pounds of weight loss per month is a healthy goal

Going Beyond the Numbers on the Scale

  • In the U.S., we have a problem with weight. The National Weight Control Registry says there are 108 million people on diets across the country.

  • Obesity increases your risk for hypertension, heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. There’s no time like the present to start making lifestyle changes so you can feel better about yourself.

  • The initial consultation will be about 60 minutes. First, you’ll meet with our Wellness Team to obtain the necessary information about your health and weight loss goals.

  • Then, you’ll meet with our physician to discuss your goals, do a complete medical assessment to determine what approach will be taken to help you achieve your weight loss goals. We will also talk about whether you qualify for this program and if so, how long it would take to meet your goals, and your program options.

  • When it comes to healthier eating, we make it easy to kick those old habits to the curb.

  • At Wellness Weight Management, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to weight loss. The fact is we all have our own unique dietary preferences and needs. That’s why we offer unique weight loss programs, each with its own approach to highly effective dieting.

  • You can count on your experienced wellness team to provide you with one-on-one support when you need it most. Together, you’ll create a plan designed to work with your lifestyle using time-tested strategies that will help you lose weight smarter and faster.

  • Making better food choices and transitioning to a healthier lifestyle is hard and we know it’s a struggle.  Meal plans with food choices and supplements with protein shake/puddings, soups, as well as protein bars will help you along the path to healthier eating.

  •  It is important to determine a defendable weight goal.

  • It is important to preserve muscle mass while losing weight. Your ideal adjusted body weight is a useful guide.

  •  If you have diabetes, Fatty liver, Polycystic ovary, sleep apnea then it is important to pick a target weight that has the most metabolic benefits to you.

Factors that contribute to Successful weight loss

We can show you how your food behavior and food choices have significant metabolic and hormonal effects

that determines how you achieve satiety or fullness.

We can show you how losing weight while hungry actively sabotages your attempt to lose weight.

Losing weight by sheer willpower works, however; it is not possible for you to use willpower indefinitely to

suppress and counteract your biological imperative to defend against weight loss.

What really drives weight gain?

  • Our Environment

  • Our Genes

  • Our Setpoint

Your body is well adapted to take over your appetite and energy expenditure to ensure your weight returns to the weight it determines for you, trying to lose weight is not futile, but we can be more successful if we understand the biology of what is going on behind the scenes.

  • To lose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume. Every diet plan works on this principle. However, your biology and body weight regulation systems will attempt to defend any attempt you make, thus causing the almost 95% weight to regain rate after any program.

  • It is important you choose a weight loss program that allows you to lose weight without triggering your defenses. Uncontrolled hunger is a sure path to failure. We can help you choose the diet that works for you using the best scientific evidence available.
